Is SEO for Bing necessary - A Big question for the SEO professional

Microsoft's new Internet product "Bing" has become a hot topic of the resent time, especially among the SEO community. Among all the SEO professionals a common question has raised, "for Bing is SEO really necessary, as the market share declines?"

Till date there have been several questions raised regarding the importance of Microhoo deal signed between Microsoft and Yahoo, which would give them a significant portion in the Search Engine market. It can be said without any doubt that the combined entity of Microsoft and Yahoo will establish a milestone in the Web world.

As per a recent report released by StatCounter, Bing recently saw a tremendous market drop in the US and all over the world. This is the first time Bing has experienced such a major turn down. Not only this, Microsoft and yahoo partnership has also affected recently.
The declination of Bing and Yahoo has resulted much more direct gain for the search king Google. StatCounter has also revealed that the Bing-Yahoo combination search presence had 20.14 percent of the entire U.S. search market in last August, compared to 77.83 percent for Google. And in the next month Yahoo and Bing saw their share drop to 17.91 percent while Google increased to 80.08 percent.

Finally, it can be said that it is too early to count out Bing. Because in the last month Nielsen has reported that the Microsoft product held just 10 percent of the entire search engine market of the world.
